The Why's.... Why we decided to go chemical free.

I'm a freak you see.  I have a need for clean, not your ok the house has to be straightened kind of clean either.  It's more like a deep cleaning once a week, ALL rooms, no exceptions. If it's not clean I can't relax. (I have a spreadsheet on the cleaning of each room, what gets done and the order it gets done in.) I've been labeled an OCD neurotic with anxiety disorder.  This is not a fun label, it's not a fun thing to be or at times be around. It's a flaw in my DNA, a deeply seated issue down in the deep dark recesses of my psyche.  But I'm working on it - and getting better a littttttttle bit at a time.

But I digress, I made the decision to go mostly chemical free in my cleaning about a year ago.  See my Kiddo, also known as Bubba, Pookey, Snotface, or Poophead depending on the day, has asthma & allergies to everything...  He's allergic to all chemicals, dyes, soaps, including alllllll hygiene stuff as well... He has severe eczema, he gets breakouts of Dyshidrotic eczema on his hands and feet.  He gets the patches all over his body, his face, his neck and not small patches, we're talking full surface coverage.  Being he's a strapping and good looking man in his 20's this is not good. It is very limiting when it comes to him working and makes him feel off and awkward in the social department.  He is very flippant and nonchalant about it but I'm his mama, I know it really bothers him.

We went to the Dr's - they said eliminate chemical cleaners, use all natural soaps and shampoos etc (Aveeno). They've prescribed the steroid creams, the allergy meds.  Said only bathing 2-3 times a week and lather up with Eucerin (Which btw he said makes it feel worse).  We've tried almost every OTC cream claiming it's an eczema cure - the things work for a little while and then poof nothing.

He was my inspiration initially for all this obsessed research and changing things out... My main reason for going green/homeopathic... But there are other benefits as well, it's safer for my family and our fur babies... It's wayyyyyyyyy cheaper (more on that later). And less waste less of a footprint.

We're good with constructive criticisms, but be nice - there's no reason to be mean!!!
